The Monday Night RAW Episode for 1-7-13: Giant Biceps On Patrol




- Happy Early Birthday to Chris Masters, Keiko "Bull" Nakano & Bushwhacker Luke, who turn 30, 45 & 66, respectively, tomorrow.

-- Today in Wrestling History: 2007: A PPV that no longer exists, it was the last time we'd see New Year's Revolution. Unlike the other two featuring Elimination Chambers, our main event pit reigning WWE Champion John Cena against the unstoppable Samoan Bulldozer, Umaga. While it was an okay match, we turn to the longest match of the night: Shawn Michaels & HHH vs. Edge & Randy Orton:

Part 2 & 3 were blocked by the WWE, so apologies for not being able to show the part HHH hurts himself.


- CM Punk has been medically cleared and will challenge Ryback for the WWE Title in a TLC Match. Regardless of who wins, come Royal Rumble will the champion defend his title against The Rock, who will return to make an appearance tonight.

-Will The Rock interfere in any way during tonight's TLC Match?

I actually don't think The Rock will interfere in the match. Although I'd like to say that The Shield will do that duty, it just seems very predictable. Could we possibly see a run in by Brock Lesnar or Brad Maddox or perhaps will it be as simple as Heyman costing Ryback the win? I highly doubt Ryback gets the win, though. Whatever happens will benefit Punk definitely. Rocky should be sitting at ringside, though...possibly announcing the match?...and the big confrontation will happen after Punk is declared the winner.

- Are you prepared for a Cesaro vs. Miz feud for the U.S. Title?

I'm looking foward to this. Cesaro needs a feud with somebody high up on the card. He will carry Miz through most of the matches, but I'm looking forward to them nonetheless. It can only help Cesaro.

- Do you expect anyone else to make a return tonight?

If anybody returns tonight, I see it being Lesnar. Although the rumors are for him to return in Feb. or Mar., I say they'll surprise us. Who do I want to return tonight? One can only hope Stone Cold Steve Austin makes his long awaited return now since the "Redneck Island" season is now over with. Will it happen, no, unfortunately. Maybe next week.

- Who do you believe will be unlucky Entrant #1 in the Royal Rumble?

I'm going to take a wild guess and say Cena will be #1. Why? Because if he loses it's because he was in the ring longer than the rest and if he wins he can say he SuperCena'd his way from 1st to last.

I have decided to give the WWE a fresh start tonight, as it is a new year and the start of what looks to be a very promising four months. Hopefully the show is even half as good as it has been built up to be, because I'll be staying up til 4am and have to be up at 8am, so I want a good TLC match and a lot of storyline development.

I can't wait. If he interferes in the match at all it will only be to fight off The Shield or someone like Lesnar. I don't think that he will play a role in determining the outcome of the match, but I do expect he'll get physically involved after the final bell rings.
