Its a toss up for me. I grew up with Gorilla & Jesse, and Gorilla & Bobby, but I just love JR and Jerry.
Yeah, it's Gorilla and Jesse.
Heenan was great of course, and incredibly hilarious. His relationship with Gorilla was so natural. But ultimately commentary is there to serve a purpose and contribute to the quality of what you're watching, and quite honestly nobody did that better as a colour commentator than Jesse Ventura did. He could take something mundane and turn it into compelling television just by how he would talk about what was going on; and Monsoon contributed to that by being a straight forward, no frills play by play with bits of personality. Together they were remarkable.

I also voted with the OP.
I think that no one in the WWE made it feel like it counted for something more than those two.

Plus Jesse threatening to come out of retirement to take the title from Hogan after every single Hogan victory never got old!

I picked Heenan and Monsoon. Their chemistry was just off the charts and Mizfan has helped me fall in love with Heenan's smartarsery.
Have to go with the sauce on this for sure. JR and Jerry were my first comentary team. Cant be topped
Not for me. Loved JR at his peak but the big thing is that Lawler was probably more memorable in his days alongside Vince. He quickly became a bit of a parody in the years he was set next to JR, and it was often not good after that.

I liked JR and King... Not very fond of Michael Cole. That was sorta around the time around when I stopped watching.
