You know I actually thought it was done. I’m not having the best couple days with this brain.

Oh, it wasn't just directed at you, man. I'm not trying to cone down on anyone or anything. I just saw two in a row that were incomplete and found that odd.

I can't finish Powder's, but you've got 4) Caddyshack, 5) Groundhog Day, and 6) Monty Python and the Holy Grail, which I think just leaves one outstanding.

No one having a crack at the Trek one, huh?

As for Tim's, I think 4) is Resident Evil and 8) is Tomb Raider, but this is all I am likely to get.

    You are correct sir.

Also, I’m a huge Star Wars fan (just ask my middle school year book) but never watched a single Star Trek movie before JJ Abrams.

If nobody has done 1 on Powder's, I think it's Tommy Boy.

As for TimR, who managed to pick a topic completely out of my wheelhouse but with a lot I know, I've got:

    3. Street Fighter
    5. Silent Hill
    6. Warcraft (which I only know because I walked past a poster of it for like a year on my commute)
    7. Double Dragon
    9. Alone In The Dark

I think that on a technicality 8 should be Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, but that might be being too picky...

    Yes it was Tommy boy.

  7. #87
Wow nearly a sweep. Though I have to wonder if people are int intentionally not guessing the first two.

I don't play video games, but I know movies. I would not have guessed anymore correctly anyway.

I'm happy for anyone else to step up right now - I'll probably not have opportunity to put anything together until tomorrow afternoon at the earliest, and it seems pointless to let this lose steam in the meantime.

I tell you what, Oliver, this should give you a bit of time to get something together. I think it's good to get different people doing it so what I propose is that you get something together and go next, whoever gets this goes after you, and so on. It'll allow you to do one, and give everyone a bit of time to put something together going forward.

Right so your theme is animated movies this time.

    1) Frozen (Steve)
    2) Robin Hood (TripleR)
    3) Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (TripleR)
    4) Spirited Away (TripleR)
    5) The Land Before Time (Steve)
    6) Up! (Oliver)
    7) Dumbo (Oliver)
    8) Transformers: The Movie (Steve)
    9) An American Tail: Fievel Goes West (Steve)

9 is An American Tail: Fievel Goes West

    1 is Frozen, I think

    Is 6 Planes?

I'm not that great with animated movies. They were never really my thing, though I do have a few selective favorites.

I'm actually not great at them either. But a topic's a topic!

Two right, by the way. It's not Planes, the other two are bang on though.

That'll probably do it for me. 4, 7 and 8 all look familiar, but I'm just not familiar enough to even make much of a guess. I may kick myself when they're revealed, though.

If I had to predict I'd say that you will, but unless you've had the specific conversation it's always hard to know what people will know.

    Wait...

    8 is Transformers: The Movie

And 5 is The Land Before Time.

4 is bugging me. It looks dark and that should be right up my alley. Apart from that, though, I'm pretty sure I'm done.

    7 is Dumbo, I think.

Oh and 6 is Up!, I'm pretty sure. Top right hand corner of the poster, I think. Fortunately had the DVD out this morning.

Yes, well done - tricky one that, it's far from the most obvious bit of the poster.

Edit: Scratch that - posting at the same time. Oliver clears it up. If you want to go in the order I suggested above it'd be Oliver, then Steve. Otherwise, Steve it'll be your turn.

I've got mine here - there is a theme, but I'm not going to reveal it until the guessing is at least part done. Hopefully these are a bit of a mixed bag of easy and hard, or hard parts of otherwise easy posters, if that makes sense.

    1. X-Men: Apocalypse (Prime Time)
    2. Die Hard (Steve)
    3. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (TripleR)
    4. Mighty Ducks 2 (Prime Time)
    5. The Breakfast Club (TripleR)
    6. The Fugitive (TripleR)
    7. Edward Scissorhands (TripleR)
    8. Jem and The Holograms (Prime Time)
    9. Home Alone (TripleR)

Ah, I think I have the theme.

Unfortunately I don't think it'll help me too much. But if 8 isn't Jem and the Holograms then I won't get number 8 and I haven't got the theme.

Is 1 Batman and Robin? I could swear that is Arnold as Mr. Freeze.

I think 2 is Lost boys

8 is right, Prime - I wasn't sure how easy that one would be so took the dead centre of the poster - but 1 is not Batman And Robin, Powder. Similar big blue baddy, though.

  29. #109
I know I know 4. Damn, what is it?

EDIT: Damn, should have gotten 9 earlier. Home Alone

Big blue baddy... I think you may have unlocked that one for me. X-Men Apocalypse?

    Yes to both of those!

Rob, you'll either kick yourself on 4 or it'll click for you. Pretty significant part of the poster.

  32. #112
Well I don't have 4 yet, but the clue on #3 to me is Newark, so I'm going with Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Certainly not the Clerks poster

Right again, to take a 4-2 lead. One more and you cannot be passed.

Just to give a thought to the theme, seeing as six are down - the central movie would be the key.

  34. #114
Still stuck on #4, but I think I've got this wrapped up with #6 being The Fugitive. Still have no idea on the theme though

It's weird because that one is so familiar. I know it's not but I'll guess at Pretty in Pink.

Good guess, but not right I'm afraid.

Ok, so the theme is essentially the cast of The Breakfast Club. Obviously there are five main cast members - of those, one is the star of 4. The others are all in one of the other films.

If you want to assign the other three cast members who are associated with one of the other films, one was the principal, one was Andy's Dad, and the other is John Hughes himself.

Took a while to work out who was missing and what it might be, but I think now that is Mighty Ducks 2.
