I would like to see a few more guesses before I start giving clues. I'll come back tonight if no one else has got any.

I'm pretty sure I've got the missing four:

    3. is AM by Arctic Monkeys
    4. is (I think) For Emma, Forever Ago by Bon Iver
    7. is Trouble Will Find Me by The National

And while I'm not super familiar with the album itslef, I'm pretty sure 1 is Sigh No More by Mumford & Sons.

I came here to put down some clues but Oliver gets the remaining 4 in one fell swoop. For comparrison here is the side by side:

That leaves us with both Steve & Oliver on 4 and TripleR on 1

Not sure what the precedent with a tie is. I'm happy to put up a single image tie breaker if you want or let me know what the precedent is.

There is no precedent. I guess the whole "What if there's a tie?" thing needs to have some answer, in general.

I would say that a good default would be to give it to whichever of the folks who tied hasn't done one for the longest, just to keep a bit of variety in the mix and avoid two people potentially basically ping pong-ing it back and forth.. If the two who tied haven't done one, period, they can just suss it out amongst themselves.

Another option would be that if there's a tie, the winner is the one who made the first correct guess. That way the winner would be determined by an aspect of their performance in the Challenge as opposed to any outside timeframe component.

    Which do you guys prefer?

Either way I think you are next Steve because I won it off Oliver. I like the idea that it defaults to the fist correct guess.

So I guess everyone else is cool with that process of determining a tie-breaker?

I guess so. I'll have a new challenge up tomorrow sometime. Could be an interesting one, as I've got a dental appointment in the morning that involves the ripping of a wisdom tooth from my head, so I might be all high and shit.

I'm actually not high at all. Refused any gas and whatnot due to not being able to find anyone who could drive me home.

This is gonna be a fun one, though. There are a couple that may cause the scratching of heads among some of you, while others are pretty obvious. So let's go.

    1) WrestleMania: The Album (nobody)
    2) Reload by Metallica (TripleR)
    3) ...Baby One More Time by Britney Spears (Prime Time)
    4) Youthanasia by Megadeth (Prime Time)
    5) Judas by Fozzy (Prime Time)
    6) Four by Blues Traveler (Prime Time)
    7) The Marshall Mathers LP by Eminem (TripleR)
    8) Thriller by Michael Jackson (Prime Time)
    9) Bloody Kisses by Type O Negative (nobody)

Could 2) maybe Master of Puppets? Not sure but it makes me think of it.

    Nope, not Puppets.

  14. #214
Gonna steal that one. Is 2 Reload- Metallica?

And I think 7 is the Marshall Mathers LP

So does the deafening silence mean that we're already in need of hints after only 2 correct answers? If so, it would appear that I've made the most difficult Album Challenge of all time. Which is kinda impressive for a dude still coming down off of laughing gas.

Right on. I'll make with some hints, then. I'll have to be vague with some, because I'm telling you guys, a couple of these are ridiculously easy.

#1 let us all know that there's never been a right time to say goodbye.
#3 had some ups and down, but that was well after this debut album had released.
#4 is beloved by kids in China, probably.
I'm surprised that #5 is become is become is becoming such an issue for folks to figure out.
I wonder if any of the guys from #6 will show up in the Roseanne revival?
Statistically speaking, everyone reading this has probably owned at least one copy of #8.
#9 is probably the most difficult one, like smooching with a busted lip.

Is anyone else even playing at the moment? If so and I need to post more clues, right on. But if it's just me and Prime then it'll eventually just be us playing a game of 20 questions until it's over.

I guess I'll try another batch of clues to see if it gets anything rolling.

#1 featured a song that made sure I never forgot the Lakota world for "buffalo".

#3 features an artist once killed as a human sacrifice for bountiful crops on South Park.

#4 was seen by many as a legendary thrash band's answer to Metallica's "Black" album.

#5 features a lead singer who has been in the headlines this past week.

It would've been pretty ironic if #6 had been placed just a couple spots to the left.

You almost definitely heard the title track from #8 at least once a couple months ago, likely more.

#9 featured the biggest hit for this band, a song that could allude towards thoughts of Aleister being my favorite member of the gold brand roster.

Ah shit. Should have known with your 90s pop thing. 3) is baby one more time.

Edit: is 4) Youthanasia, by Megadeth?

    Both correct.

I hope that the pun in my original clue for #4 can now be fully appreciated.

.... and another penny has just dropped. Statistically we've all owned a copy narrows it right down but I couldn't see it. But 8) is the handkerchief in MJ's top pocket from Thriller, isn't it?

I don't think I'm going to get anymore, though, so it's still pretty open for anyone else to claim it.

I was wrong. Become become becoming? 5) is Judas, by Fozzy, surely? Only got that from your clues though, don't think I have ever seen the cover, actually.

Alright, some more clues to get this thing wrapped and decided.

The guy pictured there in #1 has had many, many Hos in different area codes.

    #6 -2

#9 is what you'd get if you got punched in the mouth and then found yourself under some mistletoe.

OK, so as this has gone on for a while I've used a little bit of googling to assist me.

The clue for 1 sounds like a lyric, and I now know it's Ludicris, but I ain't going to get that without image searching. But it might help someone finish it off.

Knowing that the next is Blues Traveller, I've been able to work out that this album must have been the one called 'four'.

As for the last one... I didn't get it from the first clue that sounded like that, and honestly I'm still not getting anything!

I figured I'd let it sit a bit while the board repopulated from the holiday break that many have taken.

#1 has absolutely nothing to do with Ludacris.

You got #6. I honestly thought the clues were hella obvious for that one, given that it was confirmed to be Blues Traveler awhile ago. Give that album a listen. It's one of those that's kinda undeniable.

Here are a couple more (much more blatant) hints for the remaining two.

#1 shares a name with the season we're fast approaching. And by "we" I mean wrestling fans.

#9 is the most well known album by the band whose logo I have tattooed on both my wrists. When explaining what the tats are, people often ask if it's some weird way to alert medical professionals to my blood type. Also, based solely upon a previous Album Cover Challenge, I bet Rob's girlfriend could identify it.

Really? That's strange, put the lyric in and literally all the hits were about Ludacris. How bizarre!

I guess that means the last one is Type O Negative? Can't think of any other blood sounding things...

#9 is, indeed, Type O Negative. The album title should be pretty easily distinguished by the previous clues, which were in reference to the title.

Odd that those lyrics showed up for Luda. The ones I was referencing were sung by a certain Hitman in 1993.

Dammit, never even thought of Duggan.

I am afraid Type O Negative are one of those bands that has pretty much just passed me by.

OK, will have another up in a few days.
