That's a cool album name. Never even heard of it, though. I should probably check out Girlschool.

    Here we go.

    2) S&M by Metallica (Prime Time)
    3) (What's the Story) Morning Glory? by Oasis (Team Farrell)
    4) Get A Grip by Aerosmith
    5) Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf (The Dude)
    6) RAMONES by The Ramones (Team Farrell)
    7) Bad by Michael Jackson (Gooner)
    8) Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We? by The Cranberries (Gooner)
    9) Boston by Boston (Prime Time)

Not completely sure on this one as they aren't a band I know all that well, but 9) is making me think of Boston, by... well, by Boston.

    Hints!

#1 wouldn't have had nearly the impact if it had been released by Charles Monroe.
#4 produced some of the most iconic and cinematic music videos of the early to mid 90s.
#8 is somewhat timely for an unfortunate reason.

Great clue on 1). Still don't see it clearly but my guess is antichrist superstar.

#4 had 6 hit singles in the US, 4 of which made an impact on the UK charts, as well. Not bad for a bunch of middle aged dudes.
Though the band is perhaps most famous for a later song that has a tendency to get in your head, #8 produced two sizable hit songs along the way towards reaching #18 in the US and #1 on the UK charts.

Aha! 8 would then be Cranberries - Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?

Which I believe is their debut album if I am not mistaken.

You are correct, on all counts. They had released a couple of EPs prior, but Everybody Else was their full length debut, as well as their major label debut. Great fucking record. Dreams is one of those era defining songs for me.

Alright, last clue before I just call it and give it to Prime.

#4 had multiple music videos featuring Cher. Not the same one who did a duet with Butt-Head.

    Nope.

I'm calling it. It's Get A Grip by Aerosmith. Had a bunch of hit singles, including Cryin', Amazing, Crazy and Livin On The Edge, many of which featured Alicia Silverstone in the videos. Great album.

    Prime Time wins.

OK, I've tried to reach for some different artists here. No idea how successfully, and hopefully it won't mean I've put it outside what people know.

    1)
    2)
    3) Bruno Mars, Doo Wops and Hooligans (Gooner)
    4)
    5) Iron Maiden, The Number of the Beast (Steve)
    6) Glen Campbell, Rhinestone Cowboy (Steve)
    7)
    8) The Eagles, Hotel California (TripleR)
    9)

5 is Number of the Beast by Iron Maiden
6 is Rhinestone Cowboy by Glen Campbell. I used to play that record daily when I worked on classic country radio.

I recognize a couple others but it'll take a bit more thought.

That's four down so far and no one has taken a big lead as yet.

There's at least one more up there that I would say is really iconic.

I know the artists for both 1 and 9, but the album titles are escaping me, if I ever knew them. I've definitely seen the album covers before, though. 1, especially, is an album title that I know I should know. 9 is one that I recognize for the same reason I got Rhinestone Cowboy.

Aside from that, I'm mostly drawing a blank. A couple look vaguely familiar, but not enough to wager even the faintest of guesses.
