Right off the bat, #6 is Heaven and Hell by Black Sabbath. No fucking way a Dio related album is gonna be in the mix and I miss it. lol

I'll study the others a bit, see what leaps out at me.

    *Edit*

#2 is Operation Mindcrime by Queensryche. Took a minute to click.

  2. #42
Correct for PT on Violator. Another one for you.

Steve also gets 2 points. Guess mine weren't so hard.

    That leaves 1,4,5,8

Oh no, it's plenty tough enough. I have been luckier this time is all. Am still staring at most in the same way thinking I know it and getting nowhere!

Man, I KNOW I know #4. My mom had it. It's an old school hip hop album. But I can't for the life of me remember which one and I refuse to cheat.

It's not The Fat Boys, is it? She was really into The Fat Boys for some reason.

I wouldn't say yours aren't hard. I have little to no clue on most of the remaining ones, though I have to say that #8 is bugging the piss out of me because I know I've owned that album. It's just not clicking for some reason. 1 and 5 are vaguely familiar but aren't triggering anything at all.

  5. #45
Not the Fat Boys, but on the right track

Does anyone else remember Chunky A? It was an Arsenio Hall album that was basically him being black Weird Al and parodying popular songs. I distinctly remember he did "The Ho Is Lazy" as a parody of "She Drives Me Crazy".

Sorry, off topic but The Fat Boys talk reminded me of it.

Do you guys think a movie poster version of this would work?

1 and 8 are the two I am hoping fall into place. Don't have the knowledge base to get a hip hop one. Any I knew would have been so obvious it'd already be gone.

I have a feeling that #8 is Muse. The artwork looks familiar but I can't pinpoint it

It finally clicked in my head. I'm about 98% sure this is right. Maybe 97%. I feel like checking Google (or my music library) to confirm would be cheating.

    Is #8 Queen's A Kind Of Magic?

Well, fuck fuckity fuck fuck fuck. Well played, Steve.

  12. #52
2 more for Steve. Unless Pete gets the last two then Steve wins this round.

    Ready for hints yet?

    I know I am....

  14. #54
The artist for #1 really seems to like spelling her name a lot.

For #4, if you get hungry thinking about it, forget Oreos......

Heh, I don't know about anyone else, but I could do with another clue....

  16. #56
    Okey dokey

#1 has also been very successful as part of a band

#4 has also been very successful as both an actor and TV host

#4 is LL Cool J, but I can't think of the name of the album for the life of me. I'm going to guess by the previous clue that it's like The Cream Rises or something?

I'm clueless on #1. It looks vaguely familiar but I can't think of anyone who fits the bill for both clues off the top of my head. Stevie Nicks and Debbie Harry never had a proclivity for spelling out their names, to my recollection, nor has Ann Wilson or even, like, Belinda Carlisle or Joan Jett. Unless by "band" the clue referred to a singing group and not necessarily an actual traditional group of instrumentalists.

I'm swinging in the dark. I got no clue.

I am not going to get an LL Cool J album without cheating, so Steve is going to take the round.

    Still stuck on 1.

  19. #59
So Steve is correct on LL Cool J.

#1 is "band" loosely as in a group of vocalists.

You mean I got the title of the album right? Holy shit. That was a full on shot in the dark. I could've just as easily guessed Cookie Monster, especially since I can't think of the name of a single LL album.

Back in the day, the cut off for just giving the answers was after 3 clues. I leave it up to you guys as to whether that continues.

Suits me if Rob wants to throw another clue out.

  23. #63
No no, album title is wrong. LL Cool J is right.

OK, last clue. Let's try the LL album title again. I think I should give you a GOOD clue, but it might be the opposite instead.

As for #1, the chick was married to a guy that was in the Transformers movies. That's as close as I can get without giving it away I guess

Did LL Cool J have an album called bad, lol?

It'll be Fergie then, but won't know her albums and I am not going to cheat.

Fergie was married to Optimus Prime? That's kinda badass.

I know little to nothing about her aside from that Fergalicious song and I think something about London Bridge. And was she the one who did that lady lumps song? Or was that with the Black Eyed Peas?

I'm with Prime in that all that springs to mind is Bad. No clue how Oreos would factor into that, though, as Oreos are very good.

  26. #66
OK, I'll give you both half for the LL Cool J one. The album is called "I'm Bad" and the line in the song says, "forget Oreos eat Cool J cookies, I'm Bad!"

Pete gets 1/2 a point for Fergie. The album is called The Dutchess.

I guess Steve wins. You're up!

I'll try to make this next one a bit more broad, I guess. Kinda pointless endeavor if the same few people just keep going back and forth.

Alright, just gonna edit the new one into this post to avoid double posting.

This one is pretty easy, I think. Maybe too easy, actually. There are a couple that aren't exactly the most "mainstream" things in the world, but the overwhelming majority of these are very well known albums, many with quite distinctive album covers. I doubt this thing will last a full 24 hours, to be honest. But that's kinda the fun of it, isn't it?

    Here we go.

    1) Cracked Rear View by Hootie and the Blowfish (TripleR)
    2) To The Extreme by Vanilla Ice (TripleR)
    3) Alice in Chains by Alice in Chains (Prime Time)
    4) Dangerous by Michael Jackson (TripleR)
    5) You Can't See Me by John Cena (Prime Time)
    6) October Rust by Type O Negative (Rob's Ladyfriend)
    7) No Strings Attached by *NSync (TripleR)
    8) Hardwired... to Self Destruct by Metallica (Prime Time)
    9) Dookie by Green Day (Prime Time)

Three is Alice in Chains. I think that's the name of the album though I always remember people calling it Tripod.

Still need to have a deeper look at the rest.

You got it. It was nicknamed Tripod due to the three legged dog on the cover.

Excellent get on #5. Hugely popular album, but quite the diverse cover.

Your chick is cooler than you. October Rust is correct. And excellent.

Right on. Here are some clues.

    2) I bet Michaelangelo had this album.
    5) It's actually pretty ironic that you can't see this album cover.
    7) Too bad that this one needed a hint, but it's cool. I know that you can't take no more, it ain't no lie.
    8) Watch out, this thing is set to blow.

The clue for two makes me think Vanilla Ice, as that's the only Turtles singer I can think of (if you were thinking renaissance artist I'm going to look like such a putz).

Don't know any album titles though. We'll have a guess that Ice Ice Baby was a title track.

Edit: I went straight to Alanis Morrisette after the clue for five and stared at it for fully ten minutes before I remembered John Cena did an album which if I remember right is called 'You Can't See Me'.

Right artist on #2, Prime, but that's not the album title.

    You nailed #5, though.

Let the record state that there's no rule against using Google. I just prefer to try and get it, myself. But if you pretty much know it and just need a boost, I don't see what that hurts. Image searching is cheating, though.
