Sucks for them. For the obligatory Brooklyn reference, I'm hoping young Curtis Samuel from Erasmus Hall gets a chance to play as a true freshman. All everything as a HS player and one of the few NYC PSAL guys that I think can be successful at a high profile program. PSAL has kinda let me down in recent yrs with some of the guys that have gotten the big scholarships.

Looks like Vanderbilt is back to being Vanderbilt.

Either South Carolina was vastly overrated, or Texas A&M is going to be very dangerous this year.

Probably little bit of both. Texas A&M will always be able to score with Kevin Sumiln and South Carolina does not have the defense yet all clicking. Their is no Clowney on that line.

Love the improvement of the Georgia defense. 15 total yards for Clemson in the 2nd half. It's going to be near impossible for any defense to stop the running game. This could wind up being a real good year.

Looking forward to the Saturday slate this week:

    VT at OSU
    USC at Stanford
Sparty (MSU) at Oregon (game I wanna see the most)
Michigan at Notre Dame (last time playing each other for awhile)

Not too surprised to see Georgia beat Mizzou without Gurley. Was surprised at it being a 34-0 blowout.

I really want to see Ole Miss and Mississippi State undefeated going into the Egg Bowl.

If they both undefeated at the Egg bowl, I would put them both in the playoffs.

I would if it's a close game. If it's a 42-3 blowout, then I would lean towards putting someone else in. Doubt the game will be that lopsided though.

The Bulldogs will probably lose at Alabama on 11/15 but Ole Miss just may be 11-0 going into that game. @LSU is winnable (they're not that good this year) and they got Auburn coming to Oxford.

Frankly, I'd love to see both 11-0 and see them both get into the playoff.

That LSU game is always tight, though. It doesn't matter how good either team is.

playoffs should just be 4 SEC teams, IMO. SEC WEst is basically the 9th NFL division. best conference of all time, no doubt.

I really want Oregon to win just to know that this head coach did something the almighty Chip Kelly couldn't do. Granted they are Kelly's players but still.

i just looked at their overall and ohio state's record is getting better. They got an high percentage of winning.

  29. #229
Well i'm happy, that bryon guy almost did an epic fail there.

Don't know if many will see this but worth a try, so here's quick question that I've wanted to know the answer to.

There's an idea that has reached Britain that in the US, millions of people prefer their college team in the NCAA to their NFL Franchise - or even prefer the college game to the pros across the board. Is this the case? Do any LOP posters have that kind of relationship, where they'd say that their team is a university?

We've got nothing like that in England so to us it's a pretty strange thing, but I can see how on a massive continent where big four franchises are so spread out it could make a lot of sense.

I much prefer the crowds of College. But I much prefer the game of the pro's. It's much more pro and doesn't look as high school level. Plus there is a few rules they have in college that they don't in the NFL which I don't like. So I very rarely watch it now. I grew out of it.

Well, guess we'll find out if anyone here is still interested in this. Georgia and Albama, currently 0-0 as I type this. Anyone watching?
