So I guess the South rises again this seems most likely to not get passed but it shows how divided this country is becoming which is sad.
U.N. you have a problem with that? You know what you should do, you should sanction me. Sanction me with your army. OH! WAIT A MINUTE! YOU DON'T HAVE AN ARMY! I guess that means you need to shut the fuck up, that's what I'd do if I didn't have an army. I would shut the fuck up. SHUT. THE. FUCK. UP.

At least the stereotype has been confirmed: we in the south are idiots.

If Texas doesn't leave, no one will leave. The south would need Texas as Texas would be their whole economy. The good news, Texas has the most support to leave. The bad news, Texas ain't leaving. Georgia and Florida also have big economies, but the great recession has hit both states hard. It's all on Texas, and what would happen to Texas's economy once the US military leaves?

Why do people think this is news?
If Quebec can't leave Canada, this won't happen. Just a bunch of people butt hurt over not getting their way.

This is what happens when already retarded people are given infinite access to the world via the internet. An outlet to be hillbilly trash on a much louder scale. This is simply a bunch of extremists using the interwebz as a way to get noticed, and all its doing is reflecting poorly on them.
By the way, are you guys even reading the article? Texas is leading the way with the highest number of signatures with 23,000. I live in a podunk town where the cities claim to fame is having a Walmart, and the population is 11,000. Two really really small towns worth of people are who signed the petition.

Hillbilly trash, huh? While the majority of the states petitioning are from the South, I'm pretty sure Oregon, Montana, North Dakota, Colorado, Michigan, New York and New Jersey would take exception to the the "hillbilly trash" claim.

^ Just because they're not geographically "Hillbilly Trash" doesn't mean that, in their hearts, they aren't "Hillbilly Trash". Plenty of trash in on the west coast. They're just misplaced pieces of trash.

Pretty sure the north has trailer parks too.

Oh yeah, there is trailer parks in MN and CA, both places I've lived in my life.
Still, the south is known for wanting to be it's own country, and they are taking all the resources. More tax dollars are spent in the south than they pay back in taxes. We should just let the south go and let them pay their own way. It's like a parent letting their child go out into the world. Sadly, I see the south as a boomerang child.

If the South leaves, what would all the Mexicans do? Would they move to the USA or the newly made Southern America?
LWO4Life
11-13-2012, 05:22 PM
Move to the United States of America. The Confederate States of America would start off with very high unemployment.
North Carolina: 9.6%
Mississippi: 9.2%
South Carolina: 9.1%
Georgia: 9.0%
Tennessee: 8.3%
Alabama: 8.3%
Arkansas: 7.1% (finally below national average, though I doubt Arkansas would leave the union as it's a fairly liberal Republican state)
Louisiana: 7.0%
Texas: 6.8%
So basically, only 2 state would leave that have low unemployment for our recession standards. My guess, the Mexicans would leave, except in Texas. Texas Mexicans are actually really conservative, and they love their Tex-Mex culture. Also, Texans accept the Tex-Mex culture and you are just as likely see a white Texas enjoying some Tex-Mex as you are some Mexicans. But the other states may have some issues being independent. Also, who's to know what would happen when the US pulls their military bases out of Texas, as well as move NASA to California, or New Mexico. Actually, New Mexico would be great, imagine NASA is Roswell.

If secession happens, it would be TX, LA, and OK. Why?
Mississippi isn't seceding. For the 1.7M White people living there, there is 1.0M Black people. That many black folk are not leaving Obama. Can't get to Bama without crossing MS, so they're out.
With those three states, you have enough oil to take care of itself, charge the US a metric fuckton for importing/exporting through the mouth of the Mississippi and the Gulf of Mexico. Foodwise we'd be good. Granted we'd have to live off wheat, beef, seafood, rice, peppers, and tomatoes, but I think we can manage.
And then the US government comes in with the military and it's over in 3 weeks.

I've seen a lot of people say that the military would come in and take control, but I couldn't see it happening.
I don't think for a second that anyone's seceding, but if they peacefully asked, put it to a public vote (the only way I could ever see it legitimately happening) and the people were in favour only for the US military to step in? You think the global outrage when a dictatorship pulls shit like that is bad? Imagine what it would be if a so-called "free" country pulled that.
It wouldn't surprise me for a second if the UN put pressure on China to call in their debt if that went down. Or, less likely, there was a UN force on the ground within hours.

Just saw an article on Yahoo..... all 50 states have now petitioned for secession.

Oh good. We can all secede from America and create an America.

I'm pretty sure this happens every four years. I think if the petition for each state gets 25,000 votes, President Obama is required to give a public comment (like "No, Texas will not break away.").
Jackster
11-14-2012, 05:54 PM
I'd encourage all 50 states to get 25000 votes and then say "So then, the 50 states will now break away and form a new country. Any ideas on a name?" That would show 'merica.

So 1% of America would then want out.
Not an out the ordinary.
I am still not impressed with this issue.

It's funny, people forget that if the South had won the civil war, it would've been because the British helped them, and the South would've basically become a British commonwealth. That would've been fun for them. Maybe these states should ask for the British's help again.

Except that the US government would just tell the UN to fuck off, cut off all their funding, and deport every last one of them...something that should have happened years ago anyway. Without the US, there is no UN. We give them most of their money, most of their muscle, and we even gave them a big ass building to operate out of.

How so many can sign a petition while wearing dunce cap with their face covered except for 2 eye holes is beyond me.

Do you really think it's all race? I know some of it is, because there are too many idiots in this country, but that's only the minority of it. Barack Obama is a horrible president no matter what color his skin happens to be. For the record, I'm pretty sure Mitt would have been a horrible president as well. The difference is Mitt couldn't do anything too far gone because he would have to worry about trying to win re-election. Barack can't be elected again so he doesn't have to worry about that. With a Democrat controlled House and Senate, the gloves can come off and the giant dick can be shoved up America's ass now.

How many presidents have had to prove they are an American born citizen?? One as far as I know. Sadly, There's probably thousands that still believe that birthers crap. Probably not all signed this petition did so with racial motivation as the reason, but there were probably more then a few that did.
Btw
If this was just political then we would have thousands signing these types of petitions every 4 years.

And we probably will see it every 4 years from now on. Once a trend gets started, there is no stopping it. This would have happened in the 2000 election if the internet was as big then as it is now.
